Frequently asked questions

The Prince Philip Room accommodates up to 50 guests for round table dining or 32 guests for long table dining. The space also supports 40 seated buffet guests or 50 standing buffet guests for more casual dining events.

Room hire costs £1,400 + VAT for evening events (6pm-11pm). There is a mandatory minimum catering spend of £1,100 + VAT that must be met or exceeded with food and beverage items of your choice.

RSA House provides all catering in-house with award-winning menus including 3-course dinners from £65 + VAT per person. External catering is not permitted, and the venue does not offer dry hire options.

The room includes three wall-mounted plasma screens and a sound system. Additional AV equipment includes handheld or lapel microphones from £68 + VAT each (PA system required), flipcharts from £15 + VAT each, and wireless uplighters from £22 + VAT each (maximum 16, subject to availability).

Dates can be held in the diary for up to two weeks while you decide on the venue. If a decision is needed sooner, you'll be given 48 hours to either confirm with a signed contract or release the date.

The room features original painted roundels, an original Adam-designed fireplace, and double-height windows overlooking John Adam Street providing abundant natural daylight. The carpets are made from recycled fishing nets, reflecting the venue's commitment to sustainability.

The venue offers various drinks packages including half bottles of house wine with meals, sparkling wine receptions, and unlimited drinks packages. Two-hour unlimited house wine, bottled beer and soft drinks packages are available from £30.50 + VAT per person.

The venue requires detailed information about your organization's purpose, mission, values, and event content. Events must align with RSA's vision, mission, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments, and organizers must provide details about speakers, themes, and any controversial elements.

The venue hire includes a dedicated Event Coordinator and Event Manager, high-speed Wi-Fi, and the option for a ten-minute welcome talk from an RSA team member about the charity's history and current work.

Standard daytime hire runs from 8:30am-5pm at £1,150 + VAT. Evening events typically run 6pm-11pm. The venue is normally closed on weekends, requiring approximately £12,000 + VAT to open the house for weekend events.
