What are the pricing structures for The Lounge dining space?
The Lounge requires a minimum spend on food and drinks ranging from £4,000 to £7,000 depending on your event date and requirements. Room hire fees range from £2,000 to £5,000, which includes AV equipment, manned cloakroom, furniture removal and setup, and exclusive access to the members' lounge. All prices include VAT, and a 13.5% service charge applies to the final food and beverage bill.
What is the maximum capacity for private dining events in The Lounge?
The Lounge can accommodate 20 to 100 guests for private dining events. The space features portable partition walls that can be used to customize the room size to your requirements. For cabaret-style seating, the maximum capacity is 60 guests.
What are the standard event timings and access hours?
Standard exclusive access to The Lounge is typically from 18:00 to 23:00 for evening events. For daytime events, access can be arranged from 15:00 to 21:00 or 8:00 to 18:00 depending on requirements. An optional late license until 02:00 is available for £500 extra.
What food and beverage ordering requirements must I follow?
You must pre-order both food and beverage choices one week prior to your booking. The venue offers canapés, bowl food options, and three-course menus featuring seasonal ingredients, all of which can be tailored to your needs. The minimum spend must be allocated towards food and beverage consumption.
What AV equipment and technical facilities are included?
The room hire fee includes use of AV equipment such as projector and large screen with sound, 2 handheld microphones, lectern, and flipchart. The venue can accommodate laptop connections and has DJ booth equipment available. All AV equipment usage is included in the room hire fee.
Can I reduce room hire costs by adjusting my event timing?
Yes, timing flexibility can significantly reduce costs. For example, if you can start your event at 5pm with setup from 4pm instead of earlier daytime access, the room hire fee can be reduced from £5,000 to £3,500. The venue offers different pricing tiers based on access times and duration.
What additional services are included in the room hire fee?
The room hire fee includes manned cloakroom service, furniture removal and setup, exclusive access to the members' lounge during your event hours, use of all AV equipment, and dedicated security. You'll also have access to the top floor bar area for welcome drinks before seating.
What is the booking process and how long are dates held?
Once you express interest, dates can be held for up to one week while you make your decision. The booking process involves sending over a contract of agreement along with an invoice. You'll need to provide your direct email address as bookings through platforms like HireSpace require separate communication for contracts.
Are there any day-of-week restrictions or availability limitations?
The venue is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so events can only be held Monday through Friday. Thursday availability appears to be particularly limited, so flexibility on weekdays is recommended for better availability and potentially better rates.
What are the smaller private dining options available?
For intimate dining, the Library Rooms accommodate up to 18 guests with a £130 per hour room hire fee (3-hour minimum) plus £1,000 minimum spend. The Lower Ground Round Room seats up to 14 guests with a £90 per hour room hire fee (3-hour minimum) plus £1,000 minimum spend. Both include VAT and are subject to the 13.5% service charge.
