Six Clerks has a modern look compared to the rest of to our luxurious 19th century space, with inviting furnishings and décor to create a peaceful haven for diners, drinks receptions, networking events or evening entertainment events.



Frequently asked questions

The Common Room has three pricing options: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM costs £3,600 + VAT with £3,000 minimum spend on food and drinks; 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM costs £2,300 + VAT with £1,500 minimum spend; and 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM costs £2,750 + VAT with £5,000 minimum spend. Evening events (18:30-23:00) are also quoted at £2,750 + VAT.

The Common Room can accommodate up to 96 guests cabaret style with catering served in the room, or up to 144 guests with catering served in a different room. For theatre style, it holds up to 150 guests with catering in the room or up to 244 guests with catering in an adjacent space. For seated dinner events, it accommodates up to 180 guests on round tables with stage setup.

Standard AV package costs £400 + VAT and includes stage, screen/projector, two repeater screens, lectern and lectern mic, and handheld mic. Some packages include AV equipment in the price, such as DDR packages which include stage, PA system, and flipchart along with the standard setup.

Two-course dinner costs £57 + VAT per person. Christmas packages start at £172 + VAT per person (minimum 50 guests) including prosecco on arrival, three-course formal dining, wine, DJ and dance floor. Ceremony packages cost £52.50 + VAT per person (minimum 300 guests) with prosecco, four bowl food options, and full AV setup.

Weekend events have different minimum spend requirements, with some starting from £10,000 + VAT. The building is usually closed on weekends, so private events can be accommodated but with higher minimum spends than weekday events. Weekday events are more flexible with lower minimum requirements.

Security is included in most packages. Additional services available include photo booth from £950 + VAT, canapes at £14.50 + VAT per person (3 per person), and uplighters for ambience. All packages include dedicated team, digital signage, cloakroom facilities, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Organisers typically get early access one hour before the event start time (e.g., 17:00 access for 18:00 events, or 08:00 access for 09:00 events). Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by reception security team who notify the events team. The venue provides registration tables and directional signage as standard.

All catering is provided exclusively by Graysons, the in-house catering company. The venue works with external suppliers for entertainment, decorations, and DJs, and can assist with sourcing additional entertainment such as welcoming acts or evening entertainment to make events extra special.

The venue offers provisional holds, typically for 7 days, while clients make decisions. Some dates are held on "2nd option" when another client has provisional booking. Site visits can be arranged during business hours (typically 09:30-16:30 on weekdays) with the Sales and Marketing Manager.

The on-site restaurant does not serve food throughout the month of August, which may affect some catering options. Christmas events have special themed packages and decorations available. The venue is a working Law Society building, so weekday events need to consider that the building is open to the public and Law Society members during business hours.
