What is the minimum spend required to open 116 Pall Mall for weekend events?
Weekend events require an overall minimum spend of £15,000 to open the venue, as 116 Pall Mall only operates during weekdays normally. This minimum applies to the total event cost including venue hire, catering, and any additional services.
What are the standard operating hours and what are the charges for extended access?
Standard venue hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekdays. Early access before 8:00am or late access after 5:00pm incurs additional charges of £1,250 + VAT per hour. Events can be extended until 1:00am with these hourly charges applying.
What payment terms and deposit requirements apply for bookings?
A 50% deposit is required within 14 days of signing the contract. The deposit payment deadline can be extended in some cases, such as until the end of September for events not until the following March. Payment can be made by BACs transfer, over the phone, or via payment link (AMEX not accepted via payment link).
What are the additional charges for AMEX payments?
AMEX payments are accepted via PDQ machine over the phone but incur an additional 5% charge of the total invoice value per payment. AMEX is not accepted through the online payment link system.
How far in advance must contracts be signed to secure a booking?
Contracts typically need to be signed within a few days to a week of receiving them to secure the space and date. The venue operates on a first-come-first-served basis, and spaces remain liable to sell to other clients until contracted.
What is the booking hold policy for provisional reservations?
The venue can place other clients on deadline (within 48 hours) to make a decision if you request a date that has a provisional hold. Dates are not automatically held without confirmation, and the venue will follow up if no response is received to booking enquiries.
What are the catering requirements and restrictions for events?
External catering is strictly forbidden at the venue. All catering must be provided by Searcys, the in-house caterers who specialize in seasonal ingredients and sustainability. A choice of one dish from each course is required for the whole party (set menu), with dietary requirements catered for separately.
What dining room capacities and layouts are available?
The Carlton room accommodates 120 banquet with reception space or 180 banquet only. The Nash room offers 184 cabaret seating. Various other dining configurations are available depending on the specific room hired, with some spaces offering both standing reception and seated dining options.
What AV equipment and technical services are available?
AV services are available as add-ons with separate quotes provided. Equipment includes screens, projectors, microphones (lapel and handheld), and technical support. Two breakout rooms (St James 1 and St James 2) can be included with screen, laptop and projection capabilities.
What are the Christmas party package options and pricing?
Christmas packages are available from £148 + VAT per person for reception packages and £171-£186 + VAT per person for dinner packages. These include champagne on arrival, three-course seasonal dinner, unlimited house drinks for three hours, DJ and dancefloor, security, cloakroom, and traditional Christmas theming.
