What are the minimum spend requirements for private hire at Bat & Ball?

For exclusive hire of half of The Arena (first floor), the minimum spend is £8,000 including VAT. Semi-private options are available with minimum spends as low as £3,000 total. For larger events, minimum spends range from £14,000-£20,000 depending on the event size and requirements.

Are there age restrictions for events at Bat & Ball?

Yes, Bat & Ball has a strict license requiring no under-18s in the venue past 8pm. This applies to all events including birthday parties and corporate functions. Events with minors must conclude before 8pm or exclude anyone under 18 after this time.

What games and activities are included in event bookings?

Half Arena hire includes unlimited use of 2 ping pong tables and 2 pool tables, plus access to the outdoor balcony. Additional games across the building cost £1,000-£1,500 for the event duration. The venue also has 2 darts oches and a private karaoke room with over 25,000 songs available.

What is the maximum capacity for private events?

The Arena Floor upstairs can accommodate up to 60 guests for meetings with breakout areas. For parties and social events, the venue can handle groups up to 700 people across the full venue. Half Arena hire is suitable for smaller groups with roped-off exclusive areas.

What are the payment terms and cancellation policy?

A signed event contract and 50% deposit are required to confirm bookings. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event date. Cancellations require 4 weeks written notice for a refund - after this period, deposits are forfeited and non-attendance results in no refund.

What food and beverage packages are available?

Packages start from £35 per person and include options like the Santa's Big Night Out Festive Package at £60 per person (includes 4 bottles of beer or wine bottle, various sliders, skewers, half pizza per person, and desserts). All food and beverage spending counts toward minimum spend requirements.

What AV equipment and entertainment support is provided?

The venue has 8 HD TVs for live sport viewing and can provide AV support for bands and presentations. Stage, screen, and microphone setup costs £500 for awards ceremonies or presentations. The venue has a PA system and can accommodate DJ setups for dancing events.

How far in advance should I book and can dates be held?

Due to high demand, Bat & Ball cannot hold spaces for enquiries - bookings must be confirmed immediately with contract and deposit. Events should be booked well in advance, especially for peak times. Date changes within the cancellation period will revoke your cancellation rights.

What spaces are available for different event types?
