Bathed in natural light and discreetly tucked away by the main entrance, The Old Book Shop is an ideal meeting room for smaller workshops, board meetings or training sessions. We can also accommodate smaller business dinners for up to 30 guests or semi-standing networking receptions for up to 40 guests.

Well-equipped with a fixed screen and projector, this room would also be an ideal breakout space when booked in conjunction with our larger meeting or conference spaces.

Room hire varies by time slot: 9:00am-5:00pm costs £3,600 + VAT with £3,000 minimum spend on food and drinks, 1:00pm-5:00pm costs £2,300 + VAT with £1,500 minimum spend, and 6:00pm-11:00pm costs £2,750 + VAT with £5,000 minimum spend. All prices exclude VAT and the minimum spend must be allocated to catering.

The Common Room accommodates up to 96 guests cabaret style with catering served in-room, 144 guests cabaret with catering in adjacent space, 150 theatre style with in-room catering, 180 theatre style with stage setup, or maximum 244 theatre style with stage and catering in separate areas. Smaller rooms like Holborn & Lincoln accommodate up to 20 guests boardroom style.

Basic AV package costs £400 + VAT and includes stage, screen/projector, two repeater screens, lectern with microphone, and handheld microphone. Some rooms have built-in AV facilities, while smaller rooms like Holborn & Lincoln require an additional screen for £150 + VAT per day.

DDR packages start from £60 + VAT per person (minimum 100 guests) including room hire 9:00am-5:00pm, arrival refreshments, executive lunch, AV equipment, filtered water, dedicated team, and Wi-Fi. Higher-tier packages at £72.90 + VAT (minimum 70 guests) include additional tea/coffee breaks and enhanced catering options.

In-house catering is provided by Graysons with various options from basic refreshments to full meals. Minimum catering spends range from £200 + VAT per day for smaller rooms to £3,000-£5,000 + VAT depending on room and time slot. Two-course dinners cost £57 + VAT per person.

Events can be held on provisional option initially, with 7-day holds available. Early access for organisers is typically provided 1 hour before event start time. Reception security team welcomes guests and notifies venue staff of arrivals. Registration tables can be set up in the main foyer.

Weekday bookings are more flexible as the building operates normally with public access and Law Society members present. Weekend events require higher minimum spends from £10,000 + VAT as the building is typically closed. Filming in communal areas is restricted during weekday business hours.

Additional services include dedicated event teams, security, cloakroom facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, digital and directional signage, personalised welcome signs, uplighters for ambience, and AV technician support.
