What are the minimum spend requirements for private hire of The Loft?

The Loft requires a minimum spend of £2,500 plus VAT (£3,000 total) on Saturdays, £1,000 plus VAT (£1,200 total) on Fridays, and £500 plus VAT on Sundays. The full minimum spend must be pre-paid to secure the space, but can be refunded post-event if the minimum is reached through bar sales on the night.

What capacity limits apply to the different private spaces?

The Loft accommodates up to 60-80 guests (capacity varies by source), The Games Room holds up to 60 people with mixed seated and standing space, and the garden area can host up to 40 guests. The maximum group size offered on Saturdays is 40 guests.

What are the age restrictions and dress code policies?

The venue operates a 21 and over policy on Fridays after 6pm and Saturdays after 3pm. Valid photo ID is required with a Challenge 25 policy in place. Saturdays require smart, chic and elegant dress code, and last entry is at 10pm.

What are the venue's operating hours and closing times?

The venue closes at 11pm and the bar closes at 10:30pm. Private spaces like The Loft are available exclusively from 5pm until close. Late license until 1am is available for an additional £500 plus VAT fee.

What counts toward the minimum spend and what doesn't?

Only bar sales on the day count toward the minimum spend. Food sales and any drinks ordered elsewhere in the venue do not contribute to your minimum spend requirement.

What are the DJ and music options and costs?

You can bring your own DJ for an additional cost of £250 plus VAT, or the venue can organize a DJ for £500 plus VAT. You're welcome to use the in-house sound system for playing your own music such as Spotify playlists.

What is the cancellation policy for private bookings?

Cancellation policies vary by source: some show over 30 days for full refund, 50% refund within 30 days, and forfeit deposit within 3 days. Others show over 60 days for full refund, 50% within 60 days, and forfeit within 14 days. You can move your booking to another date within the same calendar year free of charge with 2 weeks notice.

Are promoted events and Saturday private hire allowed?

The venue does not offer private hire on Saturdays and does not accept promoted events. Saturday availability is limited to smaller group bookings with maximum 40 guests.

What food and catering options are available?

Guests can order food from various street food traders delivered straight to the table, though traders change from time to time. The venue can create bespoke drinks packages, and food vouchers are available for £15 per person at street food vendors.

What booking hold policy and arrival requirements apply?

Bookings are held for a maximum of 20 minutes before potentially being offered to other guests. Guests arriving after this time must join the walk-in queue. An entry fee of £8 per person applies from 7pm on Saturdays for walk-in guests.

What additional fees and charges should I expect?

A discretionary 12.5% service charge is added to the final bill. DJ equipment use costs £500 plus VAT, late license until 1am costs £500 plus VAT, and bringing your own DJ costs £250 plus VAT. Garden area minimum spend is £7,500 plus VAT with 7.5% service charge.
