Frequently asked questions

Weekend events require a minimum spend of £15,000 to open the venue, as 116 Pall Mall only operates during weekdays normally. This minimum applies to all costs including venue hire, catering, and additional services.

Standard venue hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekdays. Early access before 8:00am or late access after 5:00pm costs £1,250 + VAT per hour, with extensions available until 1:00am.

Payment can be made by BACS transfer, payment link (AMEX not accepted), or over the phone via PDQ machine. AMEX payments incur an additional 5% charge on the invoice value when processed through the PDQ machine.

Contracts must be signed on both page 4 and page 6 to be valid. A 50% deposit is required within 14 days of signing the contract, with the venue able to extend deposit deadlines in some cases (such as extending to end of September for events not until March).

The venue can place other clients on a 48-hour deadline to make decisions when there are competing provisional holds for the same date. Dates are not held without signed contracts and are liable to sell until contracted.

The Nash Room accommodates 184 cabaret style or 350 standing, the Carlton Room holds 120 banquet with reception space or 180 banquet only or 300 standing, and the Waterloo Room fits 140 standing. Multiple rooms can be hired together for larger events.

AV requirements vary by package but can include screens, laptop projection, microphones (lapel, handheld, and roaming), and technician support. Specific AV needs like multiple microphones for panel discussions and breakout room equipment are available as add-ons.

Christmas packages include traditional Christmas theming, table centrepieces, festive lighting on the Grand Staircase, and signature Christmas trees. The venue offers specialized Christmas lunch and dinner packages with seasonal menus and decorations.

Security and cloakroom services are included in most packages. The venue is fully accessible with accessible toilets, lift access, and ramp access. The venue is located 5 minutes from Piccadilly Circus and 4 minutes from Charing Cross.
