What are the minimum spend requirements and capacity limits for The Captains Table?

The Captains Table accommodates up to 25 guests and has varying minimum spend requirements depending on time slot. For daytime events (1-4:30pm), the minimum spend is £1,600, while evening slots (6-11pm) require £1,100-£1,600 minimum spend. All minimum spends include food, beverage, and 12.5% service charge (inclusive of VAT).

What deposit is required to secure a booking and when must it be paid?

A 20% deposit is required to secure any booking at The Captains Table. The deposit must be paid within 48 hours of receiving the online payment link via email. The venue does not hold areas without a deposit, so immediate payment is necessary to confirm your reservation.

How far in advance must food and beverage orders be placed and paid?

All food and beverage orders must be placed or amended up to 5 working days in advance of your event via the online ordering system. Full prepayment of the entire order is required 1 week in advance of the event date.

Can individual ordering be accommodated for corporate events?

No, individual ordering is not available for group events as there is no way to track the minimum spend requirement. All orders are placed on one accumulative tab which can be split at the end if needed.

What are the sound isolation limitations of The Captains Table?

While The Captains Table is a private room sectioned off from the rest of the venue, it is not completely insulated from sound outside the room. This should be considered when planning presentations or confidential meetings.

What AV equipment and business facilities are included in the space?

The Captains Table features a 70-inch TV screen, flipchart, and WiFi access. The space has floor-to-ceiling windows providing natural light and panoramic Thames views, plus you can choose to listen to in-house music or play your own audio.

What service is provided during corporate events?

You will be appointed a personal server to look after your group for the duration of your event. The space includes wrap-around windows with Thames views and a large boardroom table suitable for meetings and presentations.

Are there alternative menu options beyond the standard group pre-order menus?

Yes, you can pre-order from the reduced a la carte menu for individual ordering, or choose the canape and sharers menu laid out across the table. Both options are available as alternatives to the standard group pre-order menus.
