The venue operates on a minimum weekend hire charge of £6,000 (VAT exempt) for 8 hours between 8:30am-10:00pm, which includes setup, use of a technician if required, and an on-site event manager. Weekday rates vary by space - for example, the Council Room is £1,650 (VAT exempt) for 8:30am-5:30pm or £980 for half-day hire. Time extensions are available at additional cost.

Available spaces include the Council Room (up to 60 guests theatre style, 40 cabaret, 30 hollow square, 24 boardroom), Manufacturing Room (60 theatre style, 40 cabaret, 30 boardroom), Lecture Theatre (210 fixed tiered seating), Library (120 seated dinner), and Marble Hall & Gallery (200 standing reception). The Joseph Whitworth Room is specifically mentioned as ideal for film/photo with abundant natural daylight along the Presidential corridor.

Basic AV packages include laptop (£66), lectern (£22), flipchart (£22 each), with technical support included. The Lecture Theatre includes comprehensive AV: projector, lectern mic, 6 top table microphones, 3 handheld radio mics, 4 tie clip radio mics, and laptop use. Full hybrid packages with 85" screen, HD camera, sound and microphones cost £275. All AV prices are subject to VAT.

Third-party AV suppliers must schedule a site visit with an OBW technician to discuss setup requirements. They need to provide certification for current PLI & PAT testing for any equipment brought on-site and complete a risk assessment for the work. External food cannot be brought back inside the venue if guests go off-site.

Standard weekday hours are 8:30am-5:30pm, with evening extensions available until 10:00pm at additional cost. Weekend hire operates between 8:30am-10:00pm with the minimum 8-hour charge. The venue is not usually open on weekends, so weekend bookings require the minimum hire charge and provide exclusive use.

The venue takes bookings up to 12 months ahead. The booking process involves initial enquiry, provisional holds being placed on spaces, site visits available for viewing spaces, and then formal contracting. Clients can book individual rooms or multiple spaces depending on requirements.

All catering is provided by approved suppliers including Company of Cooks, Blue Strawberry, and Food by Dish. Day delegate rates start from £38.80 + VAT per person. Some catering options have minimum order numbers clearly flagged on menus. Guests cannot bring external food back into the venue, and all catering prices are subject to VAT.

The venue has indicated that very last-minute bookings with low budgets may not be suitable. Weekend events require a minimum hire charge of £6,000 (VAT exempt). For events under £4,000 budget, the venue has stated this is below their minimum weekend hire charge and may not be accommodated.

Weekend hire includes setup of chosen spaces, use of a technician if required, and an on-site event manager for the day. Time extensions beyond standard hours cost additional £550 (VAT exempt). Cloakroom service is available as either unmanned/self-service or fully staffed (prices on request). Staging blocks cost £55 subject to VAT.
