Frequently asked questions

Bakers' Hall offers several package options: a DDR (Day Delegate Rate) at £70 +VAT per person including venue hire 09:00-17:00, AV equipment, and full catering; a Print Room package at £125 +VAT per person for 8 guests including venue hire 09:00-16:00 and catering; and a basic package at £55 +VAT per person including venue hire 08:00-16:00 with light refreshments only. All prices exclude VAT and packages include staff, linen, glassware, cutlery, and crockery.

The venue offers three main spaces: the Livery Hall (suitable for up to 100 people based on enquiry responses), the Print Room (suitable for smaller groups of 8), and the Charter Gallery which is used as a breakout space or for catering service alongside the main rooms. The venue cannot accommodate events requiring more than 100 people as indicated by declined enquiries for larger groups.

Standard venue hire typically runs from 08:00 or 09:00 to 16:00 or 17:00 depending on the package. If you need to start earlier at 08:00 instead of the standard 09:00 start time, there is a one-off charge of £100 +VAT for early access.

Standard AV equipment includes a pull-up screen and projector, one handheld microphone with PA system, and flip chart with pens. The Print Room has AV equipment installed, so you only need to bring your laptop to connect.

The DDR package (£70 +VAT) includes arrival tea/coffee/pastries, mid-morning refreshments, sandwich lunch with soft drinks, mid-afternoon refreshments, and water throughout. The Print Room package (£125 +VAT) includes continental breakfast, tea/coffee during meetings, sandwich lunch with soft drinks, and water throughout. The basic package (£55 +VAT) includes only arrival tea/coffee/pastries, refreshments throughout the day, and water.

The DDR package at £70 +VAT per person requires a minimum of 25 guests. Other packages appear to have lower minimums, with the Print Room package quoted for as few as 8 guests.

Yes, the venue can host both daytime and evening events on the same date, as indicated when they asked a client whether their event was daytime or evening since they already had an evening event confirmed. This suggests separate pricing and availability for different time slots.

The venue operates on a first and second option system where dates can be placed on hold while clients make decisions. They will chase clients holding dates for confirmed answers and can accommodate venue visits for potential bookings.

The DDR package includes notepad and pen per person, along with all staff, linen, glassware, cutlery, and crockery. This comprehensive package is designed for full-day corporate events and conferences.

The venue can have scheduling conflicts, particularly for popular dates, and some time slots may be unavailable due to existing bookings. For example, they mentioned being unable to accommodate events after 4pm on certain dates due to confirmed bookings, indicating the importance of booking early for preferred times.
