The St James 1 & 2 rooms with their large sash windows over looking Pall Mall are ideal for smaller events. They are also interlinking which means that you have the option of opening them up or using one as a reception with the other for dinner. Great for intimate dinners and receptions.



Frequently asked questions

Weekend events require an overall minimum spend of £15,000 to open the venue, as 116 Pall Mall only operates during weekdays normally. This minimum applies to the total event cost including venue hire, catering, and any additional services.

Standard venue hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekdays. Early access before 8:00am or late access after 5:00pm incurs additional charges of £1,250 + VAT per hour. Events can be extended until 1:00am with these hourly charges applying.

A 50% deposit is required within 14 days of signing the contract to secure your booking. The deposit payment deadline can be extended in some cases, such as the extension to September 29th granted for one event. Full payment of hire fees and catering packages is required prior to the event date.

Provisional holds are not guaranteed and other clients may also have holds on the same date. If another client requests the same date, you will be given a 48-hour deadline to make a decision or the space may be released to the competing inquiry.

Payment can be made via BACs transfer, over the phone, or through a payment link (AMEX not accepted on payment link). AMEX payments are accepted via PDQ machine over the phone but incur an additional 5% charge of the invoice value per payment.

Contracts must be signed on both Page 4 and Page 6 to be valid. The signed contract is required before the space can be secured, and cancellation terms and conditions apply immediately after signing. Contracts can be sent via DocuSign for electronic signature.

St James 2 can accommodate 50 standing, 40 banquet, 32 cabaret, or 50 theatre style. The St James 1 & 2 rooms are interlinking, allowing flexible use as separate spaces or combined for larger events, with one room serving as reception space and the other for dining.

External catering is strictly forbidden at the venue. All catering must be provided by Searcys, the in-house caterers. Set menus are required with one dish choice per course for the entire party, and dietary requirements are catered for separately. Table plans and name places must be provided on the event day.

AV services are available and require separate quotation based on specific requirements. Services can include screens, laptop projection, microphones (main mic, roaming mic, and panel discussion mics), and technical support. Two breakout rooms can be included with screen, laptop and projection setup.

The venue is fully accessible with accessible toilets, lift access, and ramp access. Located at 116 Pall Mall, St James's, it is a 5-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus and 4-minute walk from Charing Cross. Visitors should enter through the main entrance and ask for their contact at reception.
