You walk into the Crown room to be greeting by an ornate domed ceiling dating back over 240 years. Perfect for awards, dinners and drinks reception the Crown and Cornwall are really flexible spaces. Both rooms have an abundance of natural daylight. This space is ideal for creating that 'wow' factor and impressing attendees of your event. The rooms are flexible enough to be set up in any way that suits your dinner, simply let us know your preferred layout and flow. Also available for private Christmas parties in December.




Frequently asked questions

Dry hire packages start from £10,000.00 and can go up to £14,000.00 inclusive of VAT depending on the space and event requirements. The venue offers various dining spaces including the Cornwall Suite, Cambria Suite, and Crown Suite, with room assignments subject to change based on availability.

The banquet package is £126.00 per person including VAT and includes glass of sparkling wine, three course dinner, half bottle of house wine, coffee and petit fours, mineral water, and room hire from 18:00-01:00. Package inclusions also cover red carpet on arrival, black or white linens, dance floor, dedicated event manager, and dietary requirements catered for.

The Christmas package is £112.00 per person inclusive of VAT (reduced from £190.00). It includes 3-course meal package, exclusive room hire from 18:00 till 01:00, 1 glass of sparkling wine on arrival, three course seated dinner, tea/coffee and mince pies, half bottle of wine per person, Christmas novelties and traditional room decoration, plus DJ and dance floor until 1am.

Yes, security is compulsory for the duration of your event at £29.40 per hour inclusive of VAT. For 1-200 guests, 2 guards are required; 201-400 guests require 4 guards; 401-600 guests require 6 guards. There's a minimum 4-hour booking and minimum of 2 security guards, which must be paid no later than 1 month prior to the event.

The Cornwall Suite can accommodate up to 250 guests for a banquet dinner or 200 for a dinner dance. The Cambria Suite can accommodate up to 100 guests for a dinner, 80 guests for a dinner dance, and 130 guests for a reception. The Crown Suite can accommodate up to 250 for a drinks reception and is often used in conjunction with other dining spaces.

For ticketed events, all tickets must be pre-purchased and the venue does not allow tickets to be sold on the night. This policy applies to all events where tickets are being sold to attendees.

For post-meeting drinks held within the venue, there's a minimum spend requirement of £3,000.00 to £5,000.00 inclusive of VAT (depending on the space), with at least 50% required to be spent on food. If the guaranteed minimum spend is not reached, the remaining balance will be charged as room hire.

The venue releases provisional space holdings when they haven't received updates regarding the event. Based on correspondence patterns, bookings typically require confirmation decisions within a reasonable timeframe, and the venue will notify clients before releasing held dates to give them opportunity to confirm or request the date be put back on hold.

The dining spaces offer flexible layouts including banquet seating, dinner dance configurations, and reception-style setups. The Crown Suite features an ornate domed ceiling and contemporary furnishings, while spaces like Cornwall and Cambria can be configured for various dining experiences with natural daylight and can accommodate different table arrangements based on your preferred layout and flow.

Standard dining events typically run from 18:00 to 01:00, with room hire included in banquet packages covering this timeframe. The venue can accommodate events with different timing requirements, and early access to spaces may be available for an additional charge (such as £3,500.00 for early access to the Cambria Suite from 17:00).
