Frequently asked questions

The Kitchen Bar (semi-private within the Brasserie) requires a £1,500 minimum spend including VAT on food and beverage for up to 100 standing guests. The Champagne Lounge (semi-private within the Champagne Bar) requires a £1,250 minimum spend including VAT for up to 50 guests with mixed seating and standing. The Champagne Bar English Wing (exclusive space) requires a £6,500 minimum spend including VAT for up to 150 standing guests with occasional seating.

The Kitchen Bar accommodates up to 50 guests seated or 100 standing. The Champagne Lounge holds up to 50 guests with a mixture of seating and standing space. The Champagne Bar English Wing can accommodate up to 150 guests standing with occasional seating available.

Most spaces require 50% of the minimum spend as a deposit along with a signed contract to secure the booking. The remainder of the minimum spend must be paid at least 30 days prior to the event. For some bookings, a £500 deposit towards a pre-order may be required instead, with the remaining minimum spend made up on the day through guest contributions.

A 13% discretionary service charge applies to the total bill and does not contribute toward meeting the minimum spend requirement. If the minimum spend is not met through food and beverage purchases, the shortfall will be charged as a hire fee.

Music is not allowed in semi-private spaces (Kitchen Bar and Champagne Lounge) as it would interfere with regular service in the rest of the Brasserie and Champagne Bar. These spaces operate within the main venue during regular service hours.

All spaces include WiFi access. Private dining packages include plasma screen, flipchart on request, Searcys branded notepad and pencil, and bottled still and sparkling water replenished throughout the day. The venue has abundant natural light and 1920s Art Deco styling designed by Martin Brudnizki.

Cloakroom services are not available for semi-private bookings as these spaces operate within the main venue during regular service. Cloakroom service is included for exclusive hire of the full Brasserie space.

Events typically run during evening hours, with examples showing 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM slots. The Champagne Lounge closes at 10:00 PM (2200), while other spaces may operate until 11:00 PM (2300). Specific timing depends on the space booked and day of the week.

The venue works with a variety of external artists and suppliers for entertainment, which would be charged separately once agreed with the suppliers. However, music is restricted in semi-private spaces due to interference with regular venue operations.

The venue offers seasonally inspired menus using fresh British produce. Drinks packages are available, and the venue can create bespoke packages to suit specific requirements and budgets. All food and beverage purchases count toward meeting the minimum spend requirement.
