The House is licensed to hold civil ceremonies, with a wide range of rooms available from intimate gatherings to ceremonies for up to 130 guests and parties for up to 220. Civil ceremonies can accommodate up to 150 guests maximum, while evening receptions can host up to 220 guests. However, seated wedding meals are limited to a maximum of 130 guests, which may require careful planning if you want all elements at the same venue.

Yes, bands are permitted in the Vaults spaces, with up to a six-piece band working well in the space. The venue has a late license available until 2am, though music must stop at 11:45pm unless extended for an additional £195 + VAT per hour until 1:45am latest.

Weekend weddings have exclusive hire of the entire venue, creating an intimate atmosphere. Weekend opening costs approximately £12,000 + VAT as RSA House is normally closed on weekends, which covers the basic venue access and staffing.

The Great Room (130 dining capacity) works for ceremonies and seated meals, while the subterranean Vaults (220 reception capacity) are ideal for evening parties with their exposed 18th-century brickwork and separate Strand entrance. The Benjamin Franklin room can serve as additional catering space working alongside the Great Room.

RSA House does not offer dry hire and prohibits all external catering - you must use their in-house catering services. All food and beverage must be provided by the venue's catering team with no exceptions for external suppliers.

Dates can be held in the diary for up to two weeks while you decide, or up to five working days for weekend events. If they need a decision sooner, you'll receive 48 hours notice to either confirm with a signed contract or release the date.

Christmas packages start at £143 + VAT per person including exclusive hire of Benjamin Franklin and Great Room from 6:30pm-11pm, two glasses of sparkling wine on arrival, three-course Christmas menu, half bottle of house wine with meal, and service. An unlimited drinks package costs an additional £173 + VAT per person.

Yes, minimum catering spends apply and vary by room and event type. For example, smaller rooms like Queen Elizabeth II have a £600 + VAT minimum catering spend, while larger events will have correspondingly higher minimums that must be met or exceeded with food and beverage purchases.

Standard events end at 11pm, but extensions are available: 12am-1am costs £2,250 + VAT, 12am-2am costs £4,500 + VAT. DJ services can also be extended past 11:45pm for £195 + VAT per hour until 1:45am latest.

Available add-ons include handheld or lapel microphones from £68-£75 + VAT each, wireless uplighters from £22-£25 + VAT each (maximum 16, subject to availability), and flipcharts with pens from £15 + VAT each. All additional AV equipment is subject to availability and additional charges.
