The Bloomsbury Ballroom

The Bloomsbury Ballroom operates with minimum food and beverage spends that vary by day. Best rates are offered on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with higher minimums on Thursday-Saturday when The London Cabaret Club shows run. For example, Saturday events require a minimum spend of £35,000 + VAT on F&B due to show cancellation costs.

The Ballroom can accommodate up to 300 guests seated for dining events, 150 guests banqueting style, or 500 guests standing reception style. For cabaret-style seating with round tables, capacity is typically 240-280 guests depending on the specific layout requirements.

Dry hire rates start from £9,000 + VAT for weekdays, with significantly higher rates for weekends. Friday dry hire is £21,000 + VAT due to cabaret show cancellations. The dry hire includes exclusive use of the Ballroom, Rose Bar, Long Bar and Kitchen but excludes staff and furniture.

Additional venue hire charges range from £5,000-£6,000 + VAT and include AV technician, security, cloakroom attendant, and furniture for up to 6 hours. Some quotes show security and cloakroom specifically at £915-£1,000 + VAT as separate line items.

In-house AV equipment includes 6 projector walls, microphones, remote clicker, stage, multiple light settings, uplighters, and sound system, normally valued at £2,500 + VAT but often included complimentary with venue hire. An AV technician for events costs £500 + VAT if required in additional spaces like the Rose Bar.

Three-course meals start from £64 + VAT per person, with packages from £110 + VAT including welcome bubbly, three courses, half bottle of wine and water. Traditional finger buffet lunch starts from £26.90 + VAT per person. Coffee and tea service is £5.50 + VAT per person.

Silver drinks package (house wine, beer, soft drinks) ranges from £29.75 per person for 1 hour to £63.50 for 5 hours. Gold package (includes Prosecco) ranges from £37.75 for 1 hour to £72.50 for 4 hours. Individual bottles: Prosecco from £47 + VAT, Wine from £35 + VAT, Champagne from £70 + VAT.

Friday and Saturday bookings are significantly more expensive because The London Cabaret Club runs shows on these nights. The venue strongly encourages bookings on Sunday-Wednesday for better rates. Weekend bookings require cancelling existing shows, resulting in much higher minimum spends and dry hire costs.

Entertainment ranges from £450 + VAT for a DJ or singer to £2,400-£10,000 + VAT for a full cabaret show. The venue can create bespoke entertainment packages combining West End performers, live bands, and specialty acts to complement your dining experience.

Standard access time is 10AM, with earlier access available for £500 + VAT per day. Events can run until 12AM as standard, with late finishes until 2AM costing an additional £1,500 + VAT. Extended hours beyond 2AM may incur further charges.

The venue typically holds provisional bookings for one week before releasing the space if no confirmation is received. Follow-up communications indicate they will assume you no longer require the space if there's no response within this timeframe.

Ballroom hire includes exclusive use of the main Ballroom, Rose Bar, Long Bar, and Kitchen facilities. The venue offers three connecting spaces that can accommodate up to 700 guests total in reception style, with private toilets, lift access, private entrance, and photobooth included.
