The Cambridge event room is included in the hire package of the Mountbatten as a supplementary event space. The Cambridge is suitable for so many different large events, such as dinners, reception space, use as a catering area, press lounge, speakers’ lounge or table top and shell scheme exhibitions. The Cambridge event room can also be combined with the adjoining Windsor event room, connected via a moveable wall.

Base hire includes AV packages with projectors, screens, microphones, sound systems, technicians, security/porterage/cleaning during standard hours (08:00-18:00), Wi-Fi, furniture, cloakroom, and dedicated event management team.

The venue offers various room sizes with the largest accommodating up to 410 people in theatre style. Individual rooms like Churchill, Gielgud, Burton and Redgrave Combined can be hired separately, with smaller spaces like Albert and Victoria also available. Multiple rooms can be combined for larger events, and the venue can accommodate events ranging from small meetings to large conferences of 500+ attendees.

The venue is closed during August and unavailable for bookings during this period. Additionally, some dates may be unavailable due to whole centre events that block out individual room bookings. The venue operates during standard hours of 08:00-18:00, with security, porterage, and cleaning services included during these times.

All correspondence is subject to contract until binding contracts are signed by both parties and a deposit is paid. No booking is considered confirmed until a signed contract and deposit are received, and the venue accepts no responsibility for costs incurred before confirmation. The venue provides proposals on a first option basis and requires company information and budget details before issuing quotes.

Room hire includes comprehensive AV packages with WUXGA high-definition projectors, motorised projection screens (16:9), sound systems with multiple wired and radio microphones, induction loops, lecterns, technicians for full event duration (08:00-17:30 with breaks), digital recording capabilities, and talk-back headsets. Additional AV requirements can be arranged through QEII Live (in-house AV) with separate pricing.

The venue offers discounts on room hire rates, with examples showing 10% discounts being applied to base rates. Pricing is quoted excluding VAT (20% tax rate applies), and rates vary significantly based on room size, date, and specific requirements. All prices are subject to contract negotiation and may vary based on event specifics.

Catering is provided by QEII Taste by Leith's, the venue's in-house catering service. The venue includes dedicated catering spaces like Pickwick for lunch service, and catering costs are quoted separately from room hire. A dedicated QEII Taste Manager is included in the venue hire package to coordinate catering requirements.

The venue hire package includes a dedicated Event Manager, AV Project Manager, and QEII Taste Manager, plus manned cloakroom, registration area with desks, business centre facilities, free visitor Wi-Fi, and all QEII Centre furniture (excluding exhibition furniture). Security, porterage, and cleaning services are provided during standard operating hours without additional charge.

Date availability varies significantly, with some clients being offered only specific dates (like Friday the 11th for one enquiry) while others receive multiple options. The venue may suggest alternative dates if preferred dates are unavailable, and some periods like August are completely closed. Whole centre events can block individual room availability on certain dates.
