Frequently asked questions

Room hire pricing varies significantly based on dates and requirements, with examples ranging from £2,880 to £18,144 excluding VAT for single-day events. The venue includes standard AV package (projector, screen, sound system with microphones, lectern, technician support), furniture, Wi-Fi, security/cleaning during standard hours (08:00-18:00), cloakroom, registration area, and dedicated event management team.

The Business space can accommodate up to 410 people in theatre style layout. The space features east-facing windows with views of Big Ben, the London Eye, and the Shard, making it suitable for conferences, meetings, seminars, and presentations as both standalone events or part of larger multi-room bookings.

Standard operating hours are 08:00-18:00, with security, porterage, and cleaning services included during these times. Events typically run from 09:00-17:00, though specific timing arrangements can be made based on your requirements.

The QEII Centre is closed during August and unavailable for bookings during this period. Additionally, some dates may be blocked due to whole centre events, which would make individual spaces unavailable.

All correspondence is subject to contract until binding agreements are signed by both parties with deposit paid. No booking is confirmed until a signed contract and deposit are received, and the venue accepts no responsibility for costs incurred before confirmation. Initial availability is typically offered on a first option basis.

The standard AV package includes WUXGA high-definition projector, motorised projection screen (16:9), sound system with wired lectern and handheld microphones, induction loop, laptop PC with sound, and dedicated technician support (08:00-17:30 with breaks). Additional AV requirements can be arranged through the in-house QEII Live team.

Catering is provided by QEII Taste by Leith's, the in-house catering team. Services include breakfast, lunch, tea/coffee breaks, and dinner options. Specific pricing and menu details are included in individual proposals based on your event requirements.

Discounts may be available, with examples showing 10% discounts on room hire rates in some proposals. Final pricing depends on specific dates, room configuration, AV requirements, catering needs, and overall event scope. All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT at 20%.

Included services comprise manned cloakroom, dedicated registration area with desks, business centre facilities, visitor Wi-Fi, QEII Centre furniture (excluding exhibition furniture), and a dedicated delivery team including Event Manager, AV Project Manager, and QEII Taste Manager.
