Frequently asked questions

The Tasting Room requires £100 per person including VAT with no separate hire fee. Semi-private spaces like the Kitchen Bar require £1,500-£3,500 minimum spend on food and beverage with no hire fee, while the Champagne Lounge requires £1,250-£1,500 minimum spend. For exclusive hire of the entire Brasserie, there's a £2,000-£2,500 hire fee plus £10,000-£16,400 minimum spend depending on the day of the week. All minimum spends are inclusive of VAT on food and beverage only.

The Tasting Room accommodates private meetings, while semi-private spaces vary significantly: Kitchen Bar holds up to 100 standing or 50 seated, Champagne Lounge holds 50 guests with mixed seating and standing. The Champagne Bar English Wing accommodates up to 150 guests standing with occasional seating. For exclusive hire, the entire Brasserie can accommodate 170 seated for dinner and dance or 300-350 standing for receptions.

Most bookings require 50% of the minimum spend as deposit plus a signed contract to secure the space. The remainder of the minimum spend is due at least 30 days prior to the event. For some Champagne Lounge bookings, only £500 deposit is required upfront with the remainder made up on the day through guest contributions. For exclusive hire, you must pay 100% of the hire fee plus 50% of minimum spend upfront.

A 13% discretionary service charge applies to the total bill and does not contribute toward your minimum spend. If your food and beverage spending doesn't meet the minimum spend requirement, the shortfall is charged as a hire fee. For the Champagne Lounge outdoor area, there's an additional £500 charge on top of the standard minimum spend.

Semi-private spaces within the Brasserie and Champagne Bar do not allow music as it would interfere with regular service in other areas. However, exclusive hire of the entire Brasserie does permit music and entertainment. The venue works with external artists and suppliers for entertainment, which is charged separately once agreed with the suppliers. Live music requires external sourcing and separate payment arrangements.

Cloakroom services are not available for semi-private bookings as these areas share facilities with regular restaurant service. However, exclusive hire of the Brasserie includes dedicated cloakroom service, full staffing, security, guest list check-in, and a dedicated event planner. Semi-private spaces include basic amenities like plasma screens, Wi-Fi access, and flipcharts on request.

Semi-private spaces typically operate during restaurant hours with events ending by 21:00-22:00 (Champagne Lounge closes at 22:00, Kitchen Bar can run until 22:00). Exclusive hire allows extended hours, with events running until 23:30 or 01:00 depending on arrangements. The Tasting Room can accommodate day events from 09:30-15:00 for meetings and corporate functions.

The venue works with external entertainment suppliers and artists, with costs charged separately once agreed. However, specific policies on external decorations, catering vendors, or other suppliers are not detailed in the available information. Semi-private spaces have more restrictions due to sharing facilities with regular restaurant operations, while exclusive hire likely offers more flexibility.

Menus are seasonally inspired using fresh British produce with prices starting from £50 per person for the Classic 3-course menu, with options to upgrade to Soirée or Deluxe menus. The venue offers bespoke packages and various drinks packages. All catering contributes toward minimum spend requirements, and dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.

The venue is not suitable for conferences as it lacks lecture facilities. However, smaller meeting spaces like the Tasting Room include plasma screens, Wi-Fi access, flipcharts on request, branded notepads and pencils, and bottled water throughout the day. The venue can accommodate corporate events, networking, and business dinners but not formal conference-style presentations.
