Frequently asked questions

St Pancras offers several spaces: the Tasting Room (private space with £100 per person package including hire, plasma screen, Wi-Fi, flipchart, and refreshments), Kitchen Bar (semi-private within Brasserie, 50 seated or 100 standing), Champagne Lounge (semi-private within Champagne Bar, 50 guests mixed seating/standing), and Champagne Bar English Wing (exclusive space, 150 standing with occasional seating). For exclusive hire, the full Brasserie accommodates 170 seated or 350 standing.

Minimum spends vary by space and day: Kitchen Bar requires £1,500-£3,500 including VAT on food and beverage, Champagne Lounge requires £1,250-£1,500 including VAT, Champagne Bar English Wing requires £6,500 including VAT, and exclusive Brasserie hire requires £10,000-£16,400 including VAT (£14,400 Tuesday/Wednesday, £16,400 Thursday). No hire fees apply to semi-private spaces, but exclusive Brasserie hire includes a £2,000-£2,500 hire fee.

Most bookings require 50% of the minimum spend plus signed contract to proceed, with the remainder due at least 30 days before the event. For exclusive Brasserie hire, you need 50% of minimum spend plus 100% of the hire fee upfront. Some smaller events may require only £500 deposit toward pre-orders, with the remainder made up on the day through guest contributions.

A 13% discretionary service charge applies to all final bills and does not contribute toward your minimum spend. For exclusive Brasserie hire, additional services included are dedicated event planner, guest list check-in, cloakroom service, full staffing, and security. Entertainment and external suppliers are charged separately once agreed with the suppliers.

Semi-private spaces have significant limitations: no cloakroom service available, no music allowed as it would interfere with regular restaurant service, and these areas operate within the active Brasserie/Champagne Bar. The venue is not suitable for conferences as they don't have lecture facilities. Music and entertainment are only permitted with exclusive hire of the full space.

Event times vary by space and type: the Tasting Room operates 09:30am-3pm for day events, semi-private evening events typically run 5pm-10pm or 5pm-11pm, and exclusive Brasserie hire can extend from 7pm-11:30pm or 7pm-1am. The venue can accommodate both daytime corporate events and evening celebrations, with timing flexibility depending on the space booked.

The Tasting Room package costs £100 per person including VAT and includes hire of the private space for your event duration, plasma screen, Wi-Fi access, flipchart on request, Searcys branded notepad and pencil, and bottled still and sparkling water replenished throughout the day. This is a comprehensive day-event package suitable for meetings and corporate functions.

The Champagne Lounge is described as "sheltered but still considered outdoor" and offers the best of both worlds with plenty of natural light and full cover in case of wet weather. However, using this space requires an extra £500 toward your minimum spend on top of the standard minimum spend requirements.

Searcys offers seasonally inspired menus using fresh British produce, with 3-course menus starting from £50 per person for the Classic option, with upgrades to Soirée or Deluxe available. They provide various packages from canapés and bowl food to sharing platters and full seated meals, with bespoke packages available to suit specific budgets and requirements.

The venue works with external artists and suppliers for entertainment, charged separately once agreed with suppliers. AV facilities include plasma screens in private spaces, and for exclusive hire events, they can accommodate DJs, live bands, and other entertainment. However, music is not permitted in semi-private spaces as it interferes with regular restaurant operations.
