Frequently asked questions

The minimum spend varies by space and guest count. The Private Dining Area at COMO The Halkin requires £2,280 for 24 guests, £4,500 for 60 guests, or £2,000 for 30 guests depending on the event. The White Room at COMO Metropolitan London requires £2,000 for 30 guests, £3,900 for 60 guests, or £4,000 for 40 guests. All minimum spends are inclusive of VAT on food and beverages but exclude the mandatory 12.5% service charge.

To secure any reservation, 100% payment is required upfront along with a signed contract. Payment details and the contract are provided upon confirmation of your booking. There are no partial payment options or deposits - full payment must be made to hold the space.

Any cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled event date will be subject to the full charge. This applies to all dining spaces and events regardless of the reason for cancellation.

The Private Dining Area at COMO The Halkin accommodates up to 36 seated guests or 50 standing for receptions. The White Room at COMO Metropolitan London holds up to 50 seated guests, 65 standing for receptions, or 70 standing maximum. The Gridiron space accommodates up to 60 guests for receptions with a £3,500 minimum spend.

External catering is not permitted in any venue due to health and safety regulations - all food and beverage must be provided by the hotel. Live music is welcome in the spaces, but DJs are not permitted. The noise limit in event spaces is capped at 65 decibels.

Canapé options include 5 pieces at £30 per person or 10 pieces at £45 per person. Set dinner menus range from £75 per person (3 courses) to £110 per person (5 courses with terms and conditions). House wine starts at £42 per bottle, house champagne at £105 per bottle, and beer ranges from £9-10 per bottle. A discretionary 12.5% service charge is added to all food and beverage bills.

Spaces are typically held on first option for 7 days, though some quotes mention specific release dates if no feedback is received. The venue requires prompt responses to hold inquiries and will release spaces to other interested parties if confirmation is not received within the specified timeframe.

AV equipment is outsourced and costs £600 inclusive of VAT, which includes a 75-inch TV screen, setup, and transportation. Music can be played through speakers by connecting your device, but the noise limit is strictly enforced at 65 decibels maximum. Built-in plasma screens are available in some spaces like the White Room.

The venue offers chocolate tasting masterclasses with William Curley at £35 per person, including guided tasting of nine classic couture chocolates, meet and greet with William Curley, complimentary chocolate gift bag, and 60-minute duration. External team bonding activities like cocktail making or ice sculpting can be arranged with outside companies, subject to venue approval.

The venue offers 10% commission on net revenue for confirmed bookings. This commission structure applies to the total food and beverage spend but excludes service charges and other fees.
