The Gulbenkian has a traditional, spacious interior with a built-in library on one wall, a huge fireplace, a grand piano, and a beautiful chandelier in the center of the room. This could be your ideal venue for your next Christmas party or dinner. It also retains an airy, light, and spacious atmosphere thanks to the large windows with flood the room with natural light, a perfect backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Frequently asked questions

The Day Delegate Package costs £64.00 per person (£71.50 including VAT) with a minimum of 80 delegates. It includes dedicated pre-event and on-site coordinator, room hire, full day beverage service (three servings of coffee, tea, water and biscuits), working lunch with sandwiches, 3 hot items, fruit and sweet treat, afternoon snack selection, LCD/projector, screen, flipchart & pens, free Wi-Fi, and delegate stationery.

Venue 1 accommodates a maximum of 150 people in cabaret layout or 328 people in theatre setup. The Gulbenkian Room has a maximum capacity of 48 in cabaret style. The Boardroom accommodates up to 30 people standing.

The Gulbenkian Room costs £1,200 (VAT exempt) for a full day hire. The Boardroom is £500 (VAT exempt) including screen, or £350 (including VAT) when used as a catering space. Nash and Portland rooms are available at £500 (VAT exempt) for catering use.

PA system with 1 microphone costs £180 including VAT. Additional microphones are £72 including VAT each. For events requiring more than 3 microphones, a dedicated sound engineer is mandatory starting at £540 including VAT. All rooms include LCD/projector and screen as standard.

Working lunch for delegates costs £19.80 including VAT per person. Tea and coffee servings are £8.40 including VAT per serving. Post-event Prosecco and canapés package costs £52.00 including VAT per person, including PA system for background music, 6 canapés per person, 2 glasses of Prosecco, orange juice, and still/sparkling water.

Venue 2 is only available until 4pm when there are other events starting at 4pm. Some rooms may have limited availability depending on existing bookings, and alternative dates may need to be considered if preferred dates are unavailable.

The venue can provisionally hold dates for 10 working days while clients receive updates. Payment is processed through PayPal links sent to the designated email address. Function sheets are provided for client approval before finalizing arrangements.

Yes, guest numbers can be increased even at short notice. The venue accommodated a last-minute increase from 36 to 40 attendees and updated the function sheet and invoice accordingly. However, the Day Delegate Package has a minimum requirement of 80 delegates.

Venue 1 includes its own entrance, reception/registration area, and Green room that can be used for staff preparation space or prayer room. Venue 2 can be used as a catering space free of charge when booking Venue 1, subject to availability.

The venue accommodates specific break timings as requested by clients. They can arrange hot drinks for arrivals, morning breaks, lunch periods, and afternoon breaks at customized times. Catering can be served in the clubroom, main room, or designated catering spaces as preferred.
