Frequently asked questions

Herringham Hall hires at £1,650 VAT exempt for the space. Payment is structured with a 10% deposit invoice and an 80% balance invoice, with final payment required before the event. The venue uses Flywire for payments, though BACS transfers can be arranged if needed.

Herringham Hall seats up to 120 guests and can accommodate up to 50 people in cabaret style setup. The space features high ceilings and large arch windows with natural daylight. For conferences, the hall can be set up cabaret style with catering tables at the back and a top table for 5 people.

Basic AV includes projector and laptop connection, lectern, and roving microphone. Wi-Fi access is provided with username Conf00048 and password bell-wear-yard-3 for Herringham Hall. AV technician support is available for 8:00-18:00 hours and must be arranged through EMS suppliers for additional requirements.

All event details must be submitted one week before the event date, with final information required by 9:00am on submission day. The venue operates a 48-hour policy for final updates, meaning no changes can be made within 48 hours of the event. Programme details, timings, dietary requirements, and delegate lists must all be provided by the submission deadline.

The venue does not allow external caterers - all catering must be provided in-house. For conferences, DDR 2025 packages are available for £50 per person. Fine dining 3-course dinners are offered with options including starters from £116+ VAT per person, with one choice per course for all guests and special dietary requirements catered for.

Security access must be arranged in advance, with specific times communicated to the security team. For example, access to connected spaces like Tuke Common Room requires security clearance from 8:00am on event days. The venue has established evacuation procedures and maps that must be reviewed with all event organizers.

Additional spaces that can be reserved include Tuke Common Room (suitable for dinner service with cabaret style seating for tables of 8 and 10), Knapp Gallery (for catering with posser tables and chairs along walls), and meeting rooms below Knapp Gallery. These spaces can be configured for different parts of multi-day events.

Events typically run from 8:00-18:00 hours for conferences. Setup and breakdown times must be coordinated with the venue team. For multi-day events, different room configurations can be arranged - for example, boardroom setup for smaller groups (21 people) or cabaret style for larger conferences (50 people) with dedicated catering areas.
