Frequently asked questions

Screen 1 accommodates 249 seats and costs £3,839 + VAT per slot (Mon-Sun), while Screen 3 holds 81 seats at £1,249 + VAT per slot. Weekend slots are structured as 12-3pm, 3-6pm, 6-9pm, or 8:30-11:30pm, with evening slots being 5:30-8:30pm or 8:30-11:30pm. If you need multiple consecutive slots, the price doubles for each additional slot.

Content must be delivered in DCP format as standard, with delivery required 72 hours prior to your technical rehearsal. If you have content in another format, conversion is available for £500 + VAT. There are additional fees for late delivery or missed technical rehearsals, so strict adherence to the timeline is essential.

The hire cost includes use of the screen and projector, up to 3 handheld microphones, technical support, and a technical rehearsal (30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your event type) prior to the event day at 10:30am. For laptop presentations, direct connection to the projector is available, and presentations should be in 16:9 ratio for optimal screen display.

Technical rehearsals are mandatory and offered for one hour between 10:30am-11:30am on weekdays. You must confirm your rehearsal slot at least two weeks ahead as they get very booked up. You'll need to bring the actual laptop being used on event day and ask for Michael when you arrive.

Exclusive bar hire costs £300 + VAT per hour for up to 250 people standing. If you only need a section of the bar for up to 100 people standing, this costs £150 + VAT per hour. The bar area works well for pre-screening receptions or post-event networking.

All food and beverage orders must be placed 2 weeks ahead of your event to ensure staffing and stock availability - orders cannot be guaranteed after this deadline. For drinks, they recommend budgeting £6 per person per drink for standard selections (house wine, prosecco, beers, soft drinks). Cocktails, G&Ts, and specialty items require pre-ordering.

Daytime events (pre-6pm) are priced differently than evening slots. For example, 5 hours pre-6pm costs £3,000 + VAT for Screen 1, while evening slots follow the standard per-slot pricing. Weekend pricing operates on a slot system, and if your event runs past 6pm, you'll be subject to evening slot rates.

Beyond the standard 3 handheld microphones, they can provide a lectern on stage and directors chairs or high stools for seated panels/Q&As. They do not provide lapel or headset microphones - these must be hired externally, which they can arrange for an additional charge. A presentation clicker must be supplied by the client.

A branding package is offered alongside all events, which includes use of the canopy or readograph, plus a takeover of all quad posters and digital screens throughout the venue. This allows you to customize the cinema environment to match your event branding.

The venue gets very booked up, particularly for popular dates and times. Some periods show no availability for the rest of the year, and certain evening slots may not be available on specific dates. It's essential to enquire early and have flexible dates to secure your preferred screening time.
