What is the hire fee for evening dining events and what does it include?
The hire fee for evening dining events is £7,000+VAT. This includes exclusive access to all three galleries, venue supervisor and gallery staff, one security guard for 5 hours, two parking spaces outside 17 Carlton House Terrace, parking permits for deliveries along the Mall, and use of furniture and technical equipment including a small stage, lectern, two roving microphones, adjustable lighting, AV and audio facilities, free WiFi and cloak rails.
What is the maximum capacity for seated dining events?
The venue can accommodate up to 150 seated guests for dining events. The space is entirely flexible and can be configured to suit your specific requirements.
Are we required to use your approved caterers and what are the costs?
Yes, all clients must use one of Mall Galleries' 10 trusted listed caterers to ensure the highest quality service and culinary experience. Catering is not included in the hire fee and you must contact caterers directly for quotes. There is a £500+VAT buy-out fee if you wish to use a caterer not on the approved supplier list.
Will there be artwork displayed during our dining event?
Yes, your dining event will take place with the current exhibition acting as a backdrop. The venue does not offer blank canvas hire for evening events - the curated visual art and 19th-century built heritage form part of the unique dining experience.
What are the venue's opening hours and timing restrictions?
The venue is open from 10am to 5pm for public exhibitions. Evening events can take place after 5pm when the galleries are closed to the public, allowing for exclusive access to the space.
How far in advance do I need to book for dining events?
Availability is extremely limited, particularly for daytime events where the venue has no remaining availability for the remainder of some years. Evening availability is better but still limited, so booking well in advance is essential.
What technical equipment and AV facilities are available?
The venue includes a fully equipped PA system with hand-held and lectern microphones, adjustable 3-circuit energy efficient gallery lighting, AV and audio facilities, complimentary WiFi, and a small stage. All technical equipment is included in the hire fee.
What parking and delivery arrangements are available?
The hire fee includes two parking spaces outside 17 Carlton House Terrace (the office entrance) and parking permits for deliveries along the Mall. This facilitates both guest parking and supplier access for your event.
Can we brand the space for corporate dining events?
Yes, branding opportunities are available within the venue. The space offers flexibility for corporate events while maintaining the integrity of the gallery environment and current exhibition.
What support staff are included during dining events?
The hire fee includes a venue supervisor, gallery staff, and one security guard during the event (5 hours included). Event management support is also provided to ensure your dining event runs smoothly.
