Located in Central London, a short walk from Charing Cross and Piccadilly Circus, Mall Galleries is an iconic venue spread over 450sqm of dedicated events and exhibition space. The venue is suitable for a range of events, from intimate drinks receptions, private dining and special occasions, to product launces, fashion shows, corporate hire and more.

With a standing capacity of 350, you can immerse your guests within a display of curated visual art as the backdrop to your event, or we can offer dry hire of the venue, allowing you the flexibility to curate the space to your own specifications.




Frequently asked questions

Evening drinks receptions cost £6,500+VAT for up to 350 standing guests. Full day events cost £7,000+VAT (like yoga events) or £11,000+VAT for comprehensive full-day hire. Evening dinners are priced at £7,000+VAT. All fees include venue supervisor, gallery staff, one security guard, two parking spaces, delivery permits, and use of furniture and technical equipment.

Mall Galleries offers 450sqm of dedicated events space across three galleries with a maximum standing capacity of 350 people. The West Gallery is the largest space suitable for main events, while the East Gallery works well for smaller groups of around 35 people. All three galleries can be hired together for exclusive access.

You must use one of Mall Galleries' approved caterers from their trusted supplier list - catering is not included in hire fees and must be arranged directly with caterers. If you wish to use an external caterer not on the approved list, there is a £500+VAT buy-out fee.

Daytime hire availability is extremely limited with no remaining daytime slots for the remainder of 2024. Evening hire has better availability. Filming must take place outside opening hours (before 10am or after 5pm). The venue may be unavailable due to public exhibitions, and blank canvas hire has very limited availability with next slots in February and August 2025.

Most events take place with exhibitions as backdrops - for example, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in December or Society of Botanical Artists exhibitions. Blank canvas hire is available but has extremely limited availability. If an exhibition is running, the venue will not be a blank canvas and artwork will be displayed during your event.

The hire fee includes a venue supervisor and gallery staff, one security guard during the event, two parking spaces outside 17 Carlton House Terrace, parking permits for deliveries along the Mall, and use of furniture and technical equipment. This includes a small stage, lectern, two roving microphones, adjustable lighting, AV and audio facilities, free WiFi, and cloak rails.

The venue is open from 10am to 5pm for public exhibitions. Events requiring filming or setup outside these hours must take place before 10am or after 5pm. For events during exhibition periods, access and timing may be restricted by the ongoing public exhibition schedule.

Availability is very limited, especially for daytime events and blank canvas hire. The venue frequently has no availability for requested dates and may need to refer clients to alternative venues. It's recommended to book well in advance, and site visits can be arranged to discuss events further before confirming.

Beyond the base hire fee, you'll need to budget for catering (arranged separately with approved suppliers), and a £500+VAT buy-out fee if using non-approved caterers. The security guard is included for the event duration, but extended hours may incur additional costs. All prices are subject to VAT.

The space works particularly well for events that can incorporate the gallery's artistic backdrop, with exhibitions often complementing the event theme.
