The Exhibition room costs £1,800 + VAT for a full day (08:30-17:00) with a minimum catering spend of £1,200 + VAT. Evening hire (18:00-22:45) costs £2,140 + VAT with a minimum catering spend of £1,600 + VAT. Extensions beyond 17:00 cost an additional £250 + VAT per hour.
What are the capacity limits and seating arrangements available?
The Exhibition room can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre style, 60 guests in cabaret style, or 40 guests in boardroom style. It is the largest space available and is located on the ground floor with floor-to-ceiling windows.
What catering options are available and what are the pricing structures?
Catering includes gourmet sandwich lunches with cheese, fruits, crudités and dips. The Future 50 Salad lunch costs £28 + VAT per person, while sandwich add-ons like the Seasonal Future 50 Salad cost £5 + VAT per person. Tea and coffee service costs £4.80 per person, and house brownies are £6 per person.
Can external catering be brought into the venue?
No, external catering is not permitted. Food and drinks cannot be brought in due to the exclusivity contract with their caterers. All catering must be provided through The Goldsmiths' Centre's catering team.
How are dietary requirements handled and what restrictions apply?
The catering team can accommodate various dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut allergies, lactose-free, pescatarian, halal, and ketogenic diets. However, they cannot provide meat skewers for ketogenic requirements and will offer suitable alternatives instead.
What AV equipment is included and what are the technical capabilities?
Full AV equipment is included in the room hire at no additional cost, including screen, projector, clicker, HDMI cable, built-in PA system, and strong Wi-Fi throughout the building. Flipcharts can also be provided upon request.
What are the payment terms and booking procedures?
A deposit invoice must be paid before the event takes place. Final invoices are payable within 30 days unless the event occurs within 30 days of the invoice date. Final event details must be confirmed by 4pm the day before the event.
Is there any outdoor space available for guests?
No, The Goldsmiths' Centre does not have any private outdoor space available for guests to use during events. All activities must take place within the indoor venue spaces.
What are the standard event time slots and access arrangements?
Standard time slots are full day (08:30-17:00), half day (08:30-12:30 or 13:00-17:00), and evening (18:00-22:45). Organizer access typically begins 30 minutes before attendee arrival, with room vacation required by the stated end time.
What alcohol options are available and what are the restrictions?
The venue offers drinks packages including wine, beer, soft drinks and fizz on arrival at £26 per person for one hour. Spirits can be added through their catering service or by bringing your own bottles with a corkage fee of £50 + VAT per bottle.
