Plaisterers’ Hall

Venue hire costs vary significantly by event type and duration. For weddings, dry hire is £8,500 + VAT with access from 12:00 to 00:00, including kitchen facilities, atmospheric lighting, dance floor, staging, PA system, security, staff, cloakroom, and banqueting furniture. Corporate events typically range from £12,000 + VAT for 12-hour dry hire to comprehensive packages at £73-219 + VAT per person including catering and services.

The Great Hall accommodates 350 guests maximum for seated dinner, 300 guests in cabaret style with no screens, or 550 guests standing throughout the building. Theatre style can accommodate 300 guests with stage and screens. For events requiring screens in cabaret style, capacity may be reduced below 300 guests.

Plaisterers' Hall offers both in-house catering packages and dry hire for external caterers. Package prices range from £73 + VAT per person for basic conference packages to £219 + VAT for comprehensive dinner packages. All packages include specific menu items, drinks allowances, and service staff, with additional items charged separately.

Basic packages include stage, microphones, atmospheric lighting, and PA system. Large screen and projector with tech assistants costs extra, typically around £2,500-3,000 + VAT. Advanced setups with multiple screens, repeater displays, and extended tech support are available at additional cost, with some packages including up to 10 hours of technical assistance.

Most events run from 18:30-00:00 for evening functions or 09:00-17:00 for daytime events. Exclusive venue hire typically includes access 30 minutes before guest arrival for setup. Extended hours are available at £500-600 + VAT per additional hour, with some events accommodating access until 01:00.

All events include mandatory security and cloakroom staff as part of the venue hire or package price. Chiavari chairs come at an additional cost when required. External AV suppliers can be brought in, though specific costs and restrictions apply and should be confirmed during booking.

Plaisterers' Hall offers four interconnected rooms with full exclusivity. The Great Hall is used for main events, the Livery Hall for catering and drinks receptions, and the Humber Room for additional catering space.
