Riverside Rooms does not offer dry hire. All catering must be provided exclusively by Seasoned Events, their in-house catering partner. You cannot bring in external caterers or suppliers unless specifically agreed in advance.
What are the capacity limits for different event setups?
The Parliament Rooms can accommodate 192 guests in theatre style or 120 in cabaret style. The Westminster Room holds 100 in theatre or 80 in cabaret. The venue can accommodate up to 150 people for a plated meal and up to 350 for standing receptions.
What are the typical pricing ranges for events at Riverside Rooms?
Pricing varies significantly by event type and size. Examples include £26,000 + VAT for a 40th birthday party with 5-hour venue hire, food and drinks, £24,000 + VAT for a plated dinner for 110 people, or £17,000 + VAT for a standing reception with bowl food for 110 people. Day delegate rates start from £80 + VAT per person with a minimum of 100 people.
How long can I hold a provisional booking and what are the booking deadlines?
Provisional bookings are held for up to 1 week unless discussed otherwise. For events requiring setup and coordination, you typically need to confirm your booking at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure everything is ready.
What AV equipment is included and what are the additional costs?
Basic PA system with 2 handheld microphones is included in most packages. Additional AV requirements cost extra, with estimates around £4,000 depending on your specific needs. The venue can accommodate large screens and presentation equipment.
Are there any mandatory fees or donations I should know about?
Yes, there is an automatic donation of £1 per attendee to either SEA LIFE TRUST or Merlin's Magic Wand Children Charity. This is included in all event packages and you can choose which charity to support.

The venue comprises three interconnecting oak-panelled function spaces: the Parliament Rooms, Westminster Room, and Knott's Library. No other suppliers are allowed to work on the premises unless specifically agreed in advance. The venue works with a selection of tried and tested partners who can provide entertainment and equipment, but you must get approval for any external suppliers.

The venue is located on the first floor of County Hall, accessible by lift, and has a private loading bay for deliveries. It's within a 5-minute walk from Waterloo station and offers convenient access for setup and guest arrival.
