Frequently asked questions

The Garden can accommodate up to 90 guests for standing events like barbecues or buffets. The Garden must always be booked in conjunction with one of the indoor spaces - it cannot be hired as a standalone venue. For events requiring 120+ guests, the venue cannot accommodate your numbers as the Garden & Garden Room combined has a maximum capacity of 90.

The Garden closes at 22:00 (10pm), but you can continue your event in the connected Garden Room until 23:00 (11pm). For daytime events, the Garden & Garden Room can only be booked from 6:30pm-11pm for evening events, not for afternoon timings like 1pm-5pm.

Summer party packages are available with pricing varying by guest numbers - details are provided in their Summer Party Packages PDF. They also offer bowl food and canapé packages. External caterers are not permitted due to exclusive contracts with their in-house catering team.

There is a minimum catering spend of £3,500+VAT plus room hire costs. This applies even for smaller events, making the venue unsuitable for lower-budget gatherings. The venue cannot accommodate events that fall below this minimum spend threshold.

The venue experiences high demand and enquiries must be confirmed by specific deadlines or they expire from their system. Response times are currently 1-2 days due to high enquiry volumes. You need to confirm interest by the deadline provided in your quote or risk losing your provisional booking.

The Garden must be booked with an indoor space such as the Garden Room (ground/lower ground floor, maximum 50 capacity), Prince's Room, Snow Room, or Courtyard Suite. The Garden Room is the most commonly paired space and provides weather backup if needed.

While specific entertainment restrictions aren't detailed in available information, the venue can accommodate DJ setups and has PA systems available. The Garden's 22:00 closure time means any late-night entertainment would need to move to the connected indoor space.

If weather isn't suitable for the Garden, events can be moved to the connected Garden Room or other indoor spaces. The venue recommends having the Garden Room as backup space, and arrival drinks can be hosted in the Garden Room instead of outdoors when needed.

The venue provides PA systems for background music and microphones when needed. For more complex AV requirements, they have in-house technical support and can provide screens (55" plasma or 2.5m x 1.5m pop-up screen) in connected indoor spaces.

Pricing varies by guest numbers and package type, with costs detailed in their Summer Party Packages PDF and evening dinner packages PDF. Wedding packages start from £6,600 venue hire plus £170 per person for The Lavender Package (minimum 40 guests). All prices are plus VAT.
