Frequently asked questions

Room hire varies by space: Tudor Hart Room £660+VAT, Anderson Room included in Courtyard Suite pricing, Bevan Suite £1,650+VAT for half-day hire. Most spaces require minimum catering spends: Tudor Hart Room has £250+VAT minimum for lunch, while larger events typically require £3,500+VAT minimum catering spend. Day Delegate Rates start from £90-95+VAT per person with minimum numbers typically 40-70 depending on the space.

Tudor Hart Room accommodates up to 14 boardroom style, Anderson Room up to 22 boardroom, Bevan Suite up to 150 theatre/77 cabaret, Harvey Room up to 100 standing/84 theatre, and Great Hall up to 294 theatre/160 cabaret. The Garden and Garden Room combination accommodates maximum 90 guests for events, with the Garden closing at 22:00 but events can continue in the Garden Room until 23:00.

External catering is not permitted due to exclusive contracts with in-house caterers. All food and beverage must be provided by BMA House's catering team. This applies to all events regardless of size or type.

Most rooms include data projector, screen, flipchart, and PA system with technical support for setup. The Great Hall offers extensive AV including high-powered Barco projector, up to 9 microphones, LCD monitors, staging, lighting, and full-day technical support. Events requiring heavy AV needs or more than 4 lapel mics may require a second technician at £450+VAT per day.

Enquiries typically expire in the system after a specific timeframe - examples show deadlines of 25th June and 25th July for different enquiries. You must confirm your booking interest before these expiry dates or the provisional hold will be released. The venue experiences high demand and enquiries are processed within 1-2 days.

Garden events can only be booked from 6:30pm-11pm with the Garden closing at 22:00. Day conferences typically run 9am-5pm with 8am access for setup. Evening events generally finish by 23:00-23:30. Some spaces cannot accommodate events requiring setup from early morning if dinner bookings are already scheduled for the same day.

The 3rd floor (where Bevan Suite and Harvey Room are located) is wheelchair accessible but requires use of a wheelchair lift once on the floor. The wheelchair lift has weight limitations that may be unsuitable for electric wheelchairs, so details of wheelchair users must be provided in advance. Ground floor spaces like the Garden Room offer direct accessibility.

BMA House offers hybrid event packages starting from £1,700+VAT depending on requirements and complexity. Filming packages start from £900+VAT. The venue has ongoing investment in hybrid equipment and positions itself as a leading London hybrid venue. Recording capabilities are available either through venue suppliers or in-house AV teams.

DDR packages range from £90-95+VAT per person and typically include: room hire (9am-5pm), separate catering room, arrival refreshments, mid-morning break, 2-course lunch, afternoon refreshments, bottled water, AV technician support, projector/screen, PA system with microphones, lectern, staging/lighting, Wi-Fi, and event planner throughout. Minimum numbers vary from 40-120 depending on the space.

Extensions are possible but subject to availability and additional charges. Room hire extensions may be complimentary in some cases (as mentioned for one event extending to 13:00), but this varies by space and existing bookings. Evening events typically end by 23:00-23:30, and requests for later finishes would need specific approval and likely incur additional costs.
