What is the booking process and how do I secure a date?

The venue requires a phone call to discuss your event requirements before providing a detailed proposal. Once you receive and approve the proposal, you'll need to pay a 50% deposit along with signed Terms and Conditions to secure your booking.

What are the different dining spaces available and their capacities?

The venue offers multiple private dining spaces including the Balcony Room (up to 70 seated, 120 standing), River Room, Bull Room, and the Underglobe (up to 350 seated). Each space has different characteristics and minimum spend requirements depending on your event type and guest count.

What are the minimum spend requirements for different spaces and times?

Minimum spends vary significantly by space, date, and time. Examples include: Balcony Room from £3,000 (daytime) to £13,000 plus £2,000 room hire fee (extended events), and £4,500-£6,500 for evening events. All minimum spends are plus 12.5% service charge.

Who creates the menus and how often do they change?

Executive Chef Cedric Tourainne and his team create bespoke menus specifically for the private dining spaces. The menus are inspired by seasonal British produce and change four times a year, with ingredients sourced from eclectic London suppliers including nearby Borough Market.

What are the typical event timings and any restrictions?

Event timings vary by space and availability. Examples from bookings include daytime events (09:00-17:00), evening dinners (18:00-23:30), and extended celebrations (12:00-00:00). Some spaces may have earlier finish times if another event is scheduled, so specific timing restrictions depend on your chosen date.

Are children allowed in the dining spaces?

Yes, children are allowed in the Balcony Room. The venue has confirmed they accommodate family events including wedding receptions with children present.

What happens if the venue cannot accommodate my event or budget?

If Swan at The Globe cannot accommodate your event within your specified budget or requirements, they will help find you an alternative venue. This service is offered when they determine they cannot meet your needs.

What additional services can be arranged beyond catering?

The venue can arrange additional services including flowers, DJs, and small bands for events. They work with preferred suppliers and can provide quotes for these services as part of your event package.
