Spaces at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery


Located at the top of 13th century Vaughan's Mansion this room is suitable for training events, board meetings, small conferences, talks and similar events. Available to hire in the daytime and evening. Maximum capacity 50 people. Accessible by lifts.


The Walker Suite is the Museum & Art Gallery's education room. It can seat up to 60 people theatre style with a smaller capacity around tables. It is located on the second floor, accessible by lift and stairs. Toilets (including facilities for disabled guests) and kitchen nearby. Tea and coffee available. Lunches can be arranged with the Stop. Cafe or bring your own catering. Evening hire is available but additional staffing cost will be incurred. Please call us for more information.


The Balcony overlooks The Shropshire Gallery in the former Music Hall dating to 1840 and a Grade II listed building. It can be hired in the evening for meetings, presentations, talks, dining and other business events. Up to 100 people can accommodated theatre style.


The whole Museum & Art Gallery can be hired for corporate events, filming, product launches and more. There are three floors, five activity spaces on three floors and an outdoor courtyard to use. Past events have included fashion shows and soirees. It's ideal for an event where guests promenade from space to space. This is an unusual and historic venue.
