The events designers at the Brewery are experienced in setting up a bespoke dining experience to fit any vision and budget. Our smaller James Watt Room is highly suited to an intimate gathering. We will work closely with you to devise a layout, menu, and beverage list that your guests will enjoy, whether you want to provide a quick bite or an impeccably prepared meal. If we do not have the menu, furnishings, flowers, or entertainment you envision, we'll find it for you.

How many guests can the James Watt can hold?

The James Watt Room accommodates intimate gatherings with built-in LED lighting and integrated PA system. It can hold 80 people theatre style and round table style, 54 classroom style, 56 cabaret and 100 for a standing reception.

What AV equipment and technical support is included or available?

Basic audio PA systems are included in most packages. Additional AV requirements incur minimum spend commitments - projectors, screens, lecterns with microphones, and technical support are available. Brewery Technical Support Managers cost £975 per manager, and full technical crews are available for complex setups with advance notice.

Can external suppliers be used for catering, entertainment, or other services?

All our food is provided by our in-house catering. Dry hire is possible for weddings with specific catering requirements such as Kosher or Indian food. Regarding entertainment and other services, our expert in-house coordinator can source anything and everything for you, from photo booth to flowers, magicians and furniture.

What are the standard event timings and access hours?

Standard evening events run from 18:00-01:00 with exclusive room hire included. Daytime events typically operate 07:00-17:30, while Christmas parties run 18:00-01:00. Setup access is available from 07:00, and events must finish by the contracted end time with rooms cleared within 30 minutes.
