Frequently asked questions

The City Garden Bar (Level 36) costs £15,000 + VAT venue hire with a £12,000 + VAT minimum catering spend for 60+ guests. Full exclusive venue hire is £29,500 + VAT with a £30,000 + VAT minimum catering spend for 140+ guests, or £47,500 + VAT with £35,000 + VAT minimum spend for wedding receptions. All events are charged for a minimum of 60 guests even if fewer attend.

Evening events have access from 6pm with earliest guest arrival at 6:30pm, running until 11pm with all guests exiting by then. Morning events can access from 6am with guests arriving from 9am, ending by 2pm to prepare for evening service. Full day exclusive hire runs 6am-6am including setup and de-rig, while half day hire is 4pm-2am including setup time.

Sky Garden can only close for full or half-day private events a maximum of 26 times per year. Once this annual limit is reached, no additional full or half-day closures are available. The venue mentions having only 4 remaining closure instances available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The City Garden Bar accommodates 60+ guests for seated dinners or 130+ for standing receptions. Full venue exclusive hire requires minimum 300 guests standing or 100 guests seated. The space can accommodate round tables for 10 people each, but at capacity for 50 guests it would be quite tight to fit large equipment like LED screens.

Three-course catering packages start from £195-£200 + VAT per person. The Platinum Package at £163 + VAT includes 6 canapés, 3 bowls, 1 glass of Champagne, 1/2 bottle house wine, 1 beer, 1 soft drink, and 1 water. Wedding packages start from £195 + VAT per person including 3 canapés, 3-course dinner, prosecco, wine, beer, soft drink, and water.

Sky Garden does not accommodate any outside catering - all food and beverage must be provided by their in-house team. The venue has specific lift dimensions that limit what equipment can be brought to Level 50, and they provide details on these restrictions upon request.

Dates are initially held on 2nd option and cannot be moved to 1st option (confirmed) until 8 weeks before the event date. The venue requires guest lists prior to events and uses a fast-track system directing private event guests to the right of reception while other visitors go left.

The venue can provide 75-inch TV screens rather than large LED installations due to space constraints. City Garden events get priority over music, allowing bands or DJs, while other areas like Sky Pod Bar remain quiet during private events. Specific AV requirements should be discussed during the booking process.

No, Sky Garden does not hold a license for wedding ceremonies, so the actual ceremony would need to take place at another London location. However, they can host wedding receptions with full venue exclusive hire from 6am-6am including setup and breakdown time.

If Sky Garden cannot accommodate an event due to size, budget, or availability constraints, they offer to find alternative venues for clients. They also have a sister venue at 8 Bishopsgate (5-minute walk away) which may have suitable spaces for events that don't work at Sky Garden.
