Frequently asked questions

The Terrace Boardroom costs £580 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (maximum 12 guests boardroom style). The Terrace Gallery costs £1,800 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (up to 100 delegates theatre style). The London Ellipse Hall and Entrance Hall together cost £7,500 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (up to 300 guests). The Weston Theatre with Entrance Hall costs £7,600 plus VAT for 9am-5pm (200 capacity).

Catering is provided through approved suppliers including Seasoned Events and Bovingdons. A continental breakfast package with tea/coffee breaks costs £40 plus VAT per person (minimum 12 guests). Christmas party packages start from £131 per person plus VAT at London Museum Spaces and £107 per person plus VAT at London Museum Docklands. Summer party packages start from £106 per person plus VAT.

The Terrace Boardroom includes a built-in plasma screen, PA system and Wi-Fi. The Terrace Gallery includes projector, screen, PA system (1 microphone included) and Wi-Fi. The London Ellipse Hall includes LED ellipse, plasma screen, AV technician, PA system, stage and lectern. The Weston Theatre includes projector, screen, lectern, 2 microphones, PA system, Wi-Fi and AV technician.

The Terrace Boardroom accommodates maximum 12 guests boardroom style. The Terrace Gallery holds up to 100 delegates theatre style or 90 cabaret style. The London Ellipse Hall accommodates 250 guests cabaret style with good stage/screen views, or up to 300 guests with some restricted views behind pillars. The Weston Theatre seats 200 conference style.

Additional handheld microphones cost £50 plus VAT each. Hybrid meeting options start from £350 plus VAT. In-house AV screens for the London Ellipse Hall cost £250 each for tables with restricted views. External AV suppliers can be brought in for more complex requirements, with costs varying based on specifications.

Standard daytime events run 9am-5pm, with evening events typically 6:30pm-11pm. The Terrace Gallery evening hire (6:30pm-11pm) costs £2,700 plus VAT. Events can start earlier or run later with additional costs. Setup access is available before events, with specific timing arrangements made on a case-by-case basis.

Yes, spaces can be combined for larger events. The London Ellipse Hall and Entrance Hall are commonly hired together for £7,500 plus VAT (9am-5pm). The Terrace Gallery and Garden Room can be combined, with the Terrace Gallery at £1,800 plus VAT. The Weston Theatre automatically includes the Entrance Hall in its £7,600 plus VAT hire fee.

All catering must be provided through approved suppliers including Seasoned Events, Bovingdons, and Humdingers. External catering is not permitted. The venue can accommodate dietary requirements including halal and vegetarian options through these suppliers. Water, tea and coffee can be provided as part of catering packages or separately.

The venue operates a booking hold system where spaces can be held temporarily while clients make decisions. One example shows a client having a space on hold until 17:00 on a specific day. Payment and booking confirmation timelines vary by event size and date, with specific terms provided during the booking process.

The London Ellipse Hall features a 360-degree digital ellipse that can display twinkling night lights, swaying chandelier effects, or bespoke commissioned content. It includes a 48m LED curtain, 5.1 audio system, 9 x 42" plasma screens, and staging. The space can be fully branded to client specifications and offers a truly unique backdrop for conferences and corporate events.
