Conway Hall opened in 1929 and is named in honour of Moncure Conway, an anti-slavery advocate, outspoken supporter of free thought and biographer of Thomas Paine.

Owned by Conway Hall Ethical Society, a charity, we curate, support and facilitate people and ideas that "Make Ethics Matter" in the world.

The venue is Grade II listed and offers beautiful spaces with historic features throughout, especially our Main Hall with its distinctive stage and highly-regarded acoustics.
