What are the minimum booking requirements and setup/breakdown time policies?

All quotes must include setup and breakdown time in the total hours booked. The standard requirement is 60 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for breakdown, though you can reduce setup to a minimum of 30 minutes and breakdown to 15 minutes if you handle stacking chairs, folding tables, and clearing rubbish yourself.

What days of the week is King's House available for hire?

King's House is only available for hire Thursday through Saturday. The venue is not available for bookings on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

What are the payment terms and deposit requirements?

Full payment is typically due by the standard deadline, but payment can be spread over two installments if arranged in advance. For example, a partial payment can be made initially, with the remaining balance plus refundable security surcharge due approximately two weeks later.

What catering options are available and what are the costs?

King's House operates as a dry-hire venue with recommended external caterers available upon request. They offer unlimited tea and coffee service for £2 per person, which can be scheduled at specific times throughout your event (such as 10am, 12:15pm, and 2pm breaks).

What AV equipment is included and are there additional technical requirements?

Standard AV includes a 150-inch projector, two wall-mounted 65-inch TVs, sound system, and 1 technician. The venue can display logos on screens and handle presentation files, which must be sent via WeTransfer to their specified email address by midday before the event.

What are the venue's food safety restrictions and policies?

King's House is a completely nut-free venue, and all external caterers must be informed of this requirement. The venue has kitchen facilities available and can accommodate external catering deliveries with advance notice.
