Running the whole length of the Pavilion, the Roof Terrace is a beautiful and airy space with a long balcony and remarkable views of the Ground. Used by MCC Members on match days as a place to enjoy the cricket over a drink in the sun, it makes a dazzling and spacious North London venue for a summer drinks party or reception.

On the ground floor, and housed within the terracotta-hued conservatory space offering plenty of natural light, is Lilly’s, a forward-thinking café seamlessly blending wellness and fun. Lilly’s is a destination for incredible teas, beautiful cakes, a global food offering, and plenty of bubbles mindfully brought together. With a seated capacity of 40 and standing of 60, Lilly’s provides the perfect space for a private party, whether it be seated dining or canapes and bowls selected from our eclectic menu, the beautiful setting will wow your guests from the offset.

Located in front of BMA House, the Courtyard is the perfect choice for your London summer party. The wrought iron gates, stunning architecture, and beautiful 4 statue fountain create a luxurious atmosphere in the rarely found large outdoor space in the heart of London. The Courtyard is also an excellent choice for post-event drinks and receptions held with indoor events at BMA House. The Courtyard can cater for up to 320 guests and is often hired in conjunction with the Great Hall or the Lutyens Suite which both have their own beauty and charm.

The River Terrace is one of Somerset House's most exclusive outdoor spaces with beautiful views of the building's 18th Century facade and across the Thames to the Southbank. Included in our venue hire is the use of our 'Jumbrellas' which cover part of the River Terrace, and the Seamen's Hall (200 capacity) as the wet weather option.
