Spaces at The National Archives


A fresh and contemporary space with plenty of natural daylight, this room is well suited for boardroom meetings, seminars, lectures and presentations. In built AV equipment includes a large wall mounted screen and projector, there is also audio recording capability, wireless mics and lectern availability. Catering area just outside of the room. The adaptable space features a room divider which splits the room into two smaller spaces, perfect if a breakout space is needed.


This modern, state of the art auditorium, with a 5 metre screen and black out capability is the perfect location for your film screening or viewing. With surround sound and contemporary AV, this space truly is the ideal location for screenings. The room opens up into the adjacent Learning Room to give an increased capacity of 250 guests. Included with this space is a complimentary catering space adjacent to the room which is perfect for drinks receptions and refreshment breaks.


The Learning Room is a bright and airy room located on the 1st floor, adjacent to the events space, featuring a wall mounted screen and projector, and a "Writeable Wall" - Providing the ideal setting for creative discussion and small boardroom style meetings. Opposite the room, guests can enjoy a large breakout space, with picturesque views overlooking the ponds and surrounding park.


The Balcony, overlooking the beautiful atrium, is ideal for drinks receptions of every kind. Open the doors and enjoy the sunshine on the roof terrace over looking the beautiful ponds. Why not use this area for your pre dinner drinks reception which will over look your dinner in the atrium.


The first floor atrium is an impressive indoor architectural space, ideal for reception and displays, giving 360 view into the foyer below and the surrounding landscapes. The space features a café, flexible seating and mobile AV. Connected to The Atrium, our Lake, Fountain and Thames Balconies offer private outdoor reception and relaxation spaces, with find aspects.


Commissioned in 2016, this impressive, state-of-the-art, partially raked events auditorium is perfect for film screenings, lectures and theatre style meetings. This first floor space features the lastest integrated AV equipment: a five metre screen and ceiling projector, wireless mics, audio recording capability, free standing lectern and induction loop. This highly versatile space is ideal for larger audiences, yet also offers intimacy for smaller events. Clever design enables the room to open out and connect to the adjacent room to allow for up to 250 guests.
