The Harris Garden is a charming rose garden laid out on the former site of a lawn tennis court near the entrance to the Pavilion. Constructed in 1934 in memory of the renowned cricketer and politician, Lord Harris, it is a tranquil oasis in the heart of London, and forms a lovely alfresco venue for summer parties and receptions.
Leading immediately from the grand entrance foyer on the first floor, the Library is an adaptable space that can hold 450 delegates theatre style. This large open area can be used as an individual meeting space, with catering, exhibition and/or registration in the adjacent Lecture Hall. This room has plenty of natural daylight, but also benefits from the ability to black out the windows for presentations. There is a high ceiling, making it easy to bring in large banner or poster to help create the theme. The price listed is indicative and may vary depending on the nature of the event.
On the ground floor of the main foyer is the Council room, one of our most striking function rooms. This impressive event space has high ceilings and large windows allowing in lots of natural daylight. There is space to hold up to 100 people Theatre style or 48 boardroom style. The room has the added advantage of adjoining the Brunel room. This means these rooms can be used together and allow for much flexibility. Each room can be given a distinct function for the overall event whilst being fully contained within one exclusive area.
The present arrangement of the Georgian Room dates back to 1837 and is, intriguingly, almost certainly the space where the Prince of Wales (later George II) came in 1717 following a massive row with his father, George I. It is a unique space which is perfect for buffets and receptions. It also has great views over the Atrium and down the Lecturers' Corridor. All prices listed are inclusive of VAT. Half day sessions are from 9am-1pm or 1.30pm-5.30pm.
