While the Big Barn is an active and open space, the Granary encourages reflection and more intimate conversation. It feels like a home- and is still used by the family from time to time. There is a large woodturning stove, sofas, armchairs, long bookcases - the space is perfect for guests to gather and unwind. The is enough space for group discussion on chairs or cushions and a long dining table seats up to 25. The Granary's high ceilings are adorned with Chinese lanterns and antique tapestries (and the odd cobweb).

More about  The Quadrangle

A beautifully converted Victorian Farmstead in the Darent Valley Kent, just 40 minutes from central London. It includes a huge hay barn with wooden floor and gallery, open-plan living spaces, accommodation, bell tents, woodland orchard, vegetable garden and river for swimming. Our family has looked after the Quadrangle for over four decades and in 2007 it was established as a trust to protect its unique architecture and to be an education centre, retreat space and gathering place for a wide variety of groups. All our commercial activities directly support charity groups who visit regularly.
