The Tramshed, home to the Greenwich and Lewisham Young People's Theatre (GLYPT), was built as a generating station in 1916 and powered trams until they ceased to run in 1953. GLYPT took over tenancy in 2009 to provide a community arts venue in Woolwich. It has two spaces for hire, the Theatre and the Studio.
