The Drawing Room is an elegant space which can only be hired out for wedding ceremonies and wedding reception drinks before the wedding breakfast. It can be hired out with the garden in summer for up to 120 standing or for a ceremony of 100 seated. The Drawing Room is usually offered complimentary as part of the venue's wedding packages, however on rare occasions it could be hired out separately. Opened by Queen Victoria in 1845, the Great Hall, complete with striking fresco, minstrel's gallery and a ceiling of beautifully worked oak, is described as one of the most impressive surviving buildings of its kind in London and provides a spectacular setting for all types of events. Suitable for receptions for up to 450 guests, dinners for up to 250 guests, lectures and ceremonies for up to 300 guests and wedding receptions and dinner dances for up to 200 guests. The adjoining Bench Rooms and an east facing terrace overlooking impressive grounds is perfect for arrival receptions.
The Victorian Living Room is a lovely private room with full DJ set up and live PA available for exclusive hire from Monday to Thursday for parties of up to 150 people standing. It can also seat 60 people for dining and is flexible to accommodate away days and workshops, making it the perfect space both for personal and corporate events. Prices indicated are general guidelines for minimum spends - please ask us for a quote.
The Commercial Kitchen can be hired separately or it can be hired in conjunction with our Small Hall, which is located in the same part of the building. The Small Hall can be kitted out with tables and chairs, with space for your own decorations. It makes an ideal spot for an intimate group meal. The Large Hall, which is next door, can be hired for a larger buffet or banquet.
