Space description
The Courtyard is a large exterior space, which provides excellent get in and delivery access to the venue, as well as serving as a versatile outdoor events space. We accommodate street food vans, tents and outdoor furniture. Large double doors lead to the Combustion Chamber, and a series of glass doors provide access to the Lower Link area.
The Courtyard is available as both part and full building hire.

Retaining the features and character of an imposing industrial space, the building began life as a Victorian Power Station in 1896. Located in the heart of Shoreditch & a few minutes walk away from Old Street tube station, these multi-functional spaces are suitable for all types of productions & events. Bigger corporate hires are most welcome!
We are an unusual venue in that the building is also home to the National Centre for Circus Arts - a charity dedicated to supporting circus arts education & development. All revenue from commercial venue hire goes directly to the running of the centre.
